Space Boats

For years I have been planning to catch a Shuttle Launch or some sort of Space Boat blast off. Well Finally I have had the opportunity to watch several. The really great part is I have a convenient platform to take pictures from and my brother in law let me use his absurdly wonderful Canon 600mm lens.  The shuttle launch pad is around 14 miles away. And the Deltas and Atlasii are maybe 8 miles or so.

While the photos don't really do the launch process much justice it is a nice reminder of the visceral experience of the rumble you feel and the sense of power. But mostly it's just cool.
