Notice the similarity?
That's why we named our newest cat Tristan Jones. His weathered and world-wise look reminded us of
sailor/author Tristan
Jones. He is a famous (or infamous) spinner of nautical yarns. Years after his death,
the debate continues as to whether his stories are fact or
fiction. If you dream of adventure, his stories will captivate you. |

Our Tristan is not especially daring. However, he is the most
photogenic of our critters. While Foc's'le strikes
more dramatic poses, Tristan will actually wait long enough for you to
take the picture.
Tristan does another unusual thing: he actually uses
cat toys and accessories, such as this purr pad. Most cats ignore those
things and just look at you as if you are crazy.
But every now and then he will give you a look of
consternation and maybe even a good swat and a hiss if you've earned
it. |
Like most authors, Tris enjoys cuddling up in a comfy chair
and reading a good book. But in as much as cats don't read, he just
cuddles up.
Even though Tristan is a mature adult, a
feather still brings out the kitty in him. |
And just WHAT are you looking at? |
Another funny thing about Tris is that he
attacks this pattern on the bed linen. Here he is exhausted after a
particularly tough battle. |
The holiday seems to bring out Tristan's glowing
personality. |
